Doctors:

Dr. Bruce Guillory: Dr. Guillory was reared in Hessmer, Louisiana. He attended Louisiana State University and earned a Bachelor of Animal Science in 1977 and a Masters degree in Reproductive Physiology in 1979. Dr. Guillory graduated from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1983 and has practiced at Fitzgerald Animal Hospital and Animal Medical Center 28W since graduation. He is now owner and president of Animal Medical Center 28W.

Dr. Frank Fitzgerald: Dr. Fitzgerald was reared in the Lecompte, Cheneyville area and graduated from Lecompte High School in 1957. He entered Texas A&M and graduated from the School of Veterinary Medicine in 1963. He brings more than 40 years of experience to the practice of veterinary medicine. He is a member and past President of the Louisiana Veterinary Medical Association. He is also a member of the Central Louisiana Veterinary Association, the American Animal Hospital Association, The Texas Veterinary Medicine Association, and the American Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Daniel Myrick: Dr. Daniel Myrick graduated in 2001 from the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. He spent two years in Augusta, Georgia at the Western Veterinary Clinic but then returned home to join the staff at Fitzgerald Animal Hospital in February of 2003 and recently as a staff veterinarian at Animal Center 28W. In his free time, he enjoys golf, hunting, and fishing, but mostly spending time with his dogs, Bear, Buster, and Cujo.

Dr. Bronk McDaniel: Dr. McDaniel graduated from Louisiana State Univeristy with a degree in Animal Science in 2004 and was accepted into LSU School of Veterinary Medicine.  He completed his D.V.M. in 2008 and joined the staff at Fitzgerald Animal Hospital and Animal Medical Center.  Dr. McDaniel has two cats, Tipper and Tanner, and two black and tan coon hounds named Slick and Bandit.  He enjoys fishing in his spare time.

Dr. Jamie Ducote: Dr. Jamie Ducote was raised in Avoyelles Parish living in Hessmer and Bunkie.  He attended Bunkie High School and graduated in 2002.  He then attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, where he majored in Pre-Veterinary Medicine.  After only two years of undergraduate study, he was accepted to LSU School of Veterinary Medicine.  He graduated from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in May 2008 and joined the staff at Fitzgerald Animal Hospital and Animal Medical Center upon graduation.  He has a Dachshund named Harlo and a German Shepherd named Buck.  He enjoys singing and spending times with friends and family in his spare time. 

Technicians:

Pam McConnellPam is from the Alexandria area and is a graduate of Northwestern State University.  She has been working for Fitzgerald Animal Hospital since she obtained her Associate of Science in Veterinary Technology in 1986.  Pam currently serves as Practice Manager for the affiliated Animal Hospitals (Fitzgerald Animal Hospital, Animal Medical Center 28W, Kees Park Animal Clinic). Together with her husband, Tim, they are raising three boys Dustin, Tyler and Scott.  Along with the three boys they have a golden retriever, Shadow; a yellow lab, Mia; and a bird, Buddy.

Becky JeansonneBecky, a registered Veterinary Technician, graduated from Northwestern State University in 1997 with an Associate of Science in Veterinary Technology. Becky has served as a veterinary medicine technician at Fitzgerald Animal Hospital since 2000.  She is originally from Alexandria where she and her husband, Hanner, currently live.  Together they have a handsome young son, Cole, and a beautiful daughter, Camille.  They also have three cats – Sassy, Cassie and Smokey and a boxer, Chloe.

Heather WainwrightHeather has worked at Fitzgerald Animal Hospital since her graduation from Northwestern State University in 2002 where she received an Associate of Science in Veterinary Technology.  She is originally from Glenmora, but currently lives in Pineville with her husband Dean.  Together they are raising two cats- Blair and Shortstop; and three dogs- Ray, Suzi and Little Man.

Jamie WatkinsJamie has worked at Animal Medical Center 28W since September 2004. She and her husband, Travis, have three dogs- Gretchen, Bo and Cowboy.  In her spare time she rodeos and takes care of her horses.

Charlea Keyser: Charlea was raised in Sieper, Louisiana.  She is a licensed First Responder, Emergency Medical Technician, and registered Veterinary technician.  She has worked with the Fitzgerald Animal Hospital and Animal Medical Center team since her graduation in 2008.  She lives on a small farm in the Sieper area with her loving husband and children.  Together they raise and care for a variety of crops and animals. 

Katie Coody: Katie received an Associate of Science in Veterinary Technology in 2008.  She joined the staff at Fitzgerald Animal Hospital and Animal Medical Center upon graduation.  She lives with her husband, L.E. Coody, and her cat, George. 

Annie Swido: Annie was born and raised in Alexandria, Louisiana.  She graduated from Bolton High School in 1998 and attended LSUA for Pre-Veterinary Medicine.  She then transferred to Northwestern State University where she received an Associates in Veterinary Technology.  She has been with the staff at Fitzgerald Animal Hospital and Animal Medical Center  since August 2008.  She lives in Pineville, Louisiana with her two sons, Hayden and Houston, and her wonderful pound dog, Lady.   

 

Bookkeeper

Tina DeSotoTina is from Marksville, Louisiana.  She is a 1987 graduate of Louisiana State University at Alexandria with an Associate Degree in Computer Science and is currently working on her B.S. in Business Administration.  She joined the Fitzgerald Animal Hospital staff in January 2006.  Her family consists of her husband, Jamie DeSoto, and his daughter, Alexis.  They have a German Sheppard, Lili Belle, and a cat, Tucker Louise.
